Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) of Aluminum Tubing Weld
The I.D. of the Aluminum tube has a continuous seam weld easily observable as the videoimaging borescope is moved down the tube. Note that you can also see the labeling from the tube manufacturer on the sheet stock that was used for manufacturing the rolled tubing. Near the end of the animation you can see a stepped section and transition where the scope passes through.
To view the video in animated Gif file format, select this link. This is a short 1.2MB  animation which takes about five minutes to download at 28.8K. This is a continuous running video animation showing internal remote visual inspection using our AVIS-3 Video Imaging Scope. The video was captured from live video output and then (NTSC, 330 lines) recorded on VHS tape.
If you would like, we have an alternative streaming video where the content is longer in duration than the animated GIF version and takes less download time. (To view it, you’ll need the RealNetworks™ G2 Player)
